Waldviertel 2022/23

The video is based on the score „Voice for Dream“ by the composer Alireza Amirhajebi. From this, the idea of performing with a branch in a snowy landscape was developed. The imagery is also inspired by the filmmaker Andrej Tarkovsky.
The dreamlike quality is emphasized by the blurring of sky and earth into each other, as it were, and the costume corresponds in color to the sparse plant world. A red color klex emphasizes the presence of an alert spirit, which moves somnambulistically and poetically through the lonely landscape. His only partner is a branch – a familiar since pandemic times. After completing the video edit, it was Alireza’s turn again to compose a sound to go with it. He decided to generate sound by means of a metal plate without filters or effects, which on the one hand stands in contrast to the choreography, on the other hand adequately to the dance from the „nothing“ and the silence as it were energy emerges.
